Zhangzhou Export Ceramics The So-Called Swatow Wares

Exhibition catalogue by Teresa Canepa; Zhangzhou export porcelain, the so-called Swatow wares, discussed in this beautifully illustrated catalogue was produced at the Zhangzhou kilns in Fujian Province from approximately the second half of the 16th century to the first half of the 17th. These wares were exported in large quantities to Japan and Southeast Asian countries. This exhibition catalogue is one of the first serious academic studies of this group of export ceramics.
