Decorated in the famille rose palette, the coats are of Hotham, Barry of ten argent and azure, on a canton or a Cornish though proper ; crest, A demi seaman issuing out of the water proper, holding in the dexter hand a flaming sword argent, hilt and pommel or, on the sinister arm a shield of the arms of Hotham; motto « Have a care » ; the impaled arms of Morley, Sable a leopard’s head jetant-de-lis argent, a crescent for difference.

Notice
Ce service a presque certainement fait pour Sir Richard Hotham (adoubé vers 1770), qui était un propriétaire gérant et avait dix navires à Canton entre 1765 et 1789. Il existe un autre service Morley, peut-être pour une fille de James Morley, un marchand principal à Bombay en 1759.
Cette famille descend de Durand of Hotham qui possédait des terres à Harthill dans le Yorkshire au XIIe siècle. En 1622, John Hotham de Scorborought a été créé baron et aujourd’hui le titre est détenu par le 17e baronnet et le 7e baron, Lord Hotham de Scorborought Hall.
