Painted and gilt to the center with the coat-of-arms and inscribed « Artoÿs » on a ground of birds, butterflies and flower-sprays, within a moulded floriform border containing panels of figures in gardens alternating with vases and jardinieres of flowers on a diaper-pattern ground.
Several identical dishes are repertoried : One was sold at Christie’s Amsterdam, 4-5 october 2011, lot 431 ; another model, with the same dimension, from the Helena Woolworth McCann Collection is held on at the Metropolitan Museum of New-York (accession number 60.10) ; another model was published by Maria Antonia Pinto de Matos and Jorge Welsh in The RA Collection of Chinese Ceramics – A collector’s Vision (T. III, p. 307) : another example from the Princessehof Museum (Leewarden) is illustrated by Christiaan Jorg in Famille Verte : Chinese Porcelain in Green Enamels (p. 170).
