A Chinese plate decorated in famille rose enamels with a sage in a landscape. Yongzheng period.

Decorated in the famille rose palette, the centre with a scene depicting a sage crossing a footbridge leading from the rocky shore of a lake to a walled garden on an islet in the water, all within a leaf-shaped panel outlined in gilding, the everted rim encircled by an intricate pink-ground border incorporating different flowers.
